I am pleased to announce that I have completed the move from Gaim to Pidgin

The first release of Pidgin (2.0.0-1nix0) has these improvements (and hopefully no major h0rkages ):

• Moved to pidgin-2.0.0 (obviously)
• Added "Really quit Pidgin ?" dialog when someone clicks the top-right [X] on the buddy list window
• Use (nicer) Pidgin dialogs for setting aliases rather than from-scratch one
• Added "Add" button to smiley theme prefs page, and tried out a few smiley themes from http://customize.org/
• Added /home/user/MyDocs/* (Documents, Images, Videos, etc.) as shortcut directories to the file/folder open/save dialogs
• Building under gregale works for both N770 and N800 - no more separate repositories

I have also updated the Web page at http://gaim.garage.maemo.org/. Please have a look. I don't know if I'll be able to rename the project and the garage site to "pidgin".
