The device, is or rather was, fantastic. I did not buy the N900 just to watch videos, or listen to music or just to make calls. I bought it for all of those reasons and more.

This has been a strange week. The first small update was great, more features, improved browser, and loads of apps to download.

The PR1.1 update has now made my N900 worse than the day I bought it in early December

Things that no longer work (and were fine before this release)or are problematic:-
Videos no longer play, those that do require a reboot to work.
Pictures fragmenting in the picture viewer.
Music not appear in media player, requiring a restart of media player.
Shuffle all songs mode now way to slow, up to 20 secs before next song will play.
Unexpected re-boots.
Volume control problems with media player.
Battery life of 6 hrs if I am connected to my home wi fi.

It is not all doom and gloom as the device is faster and the browser better but the above issues nearly render it virtually useless.
