Hmm, I have only used the USB data transfer cable from Nokia. I haven't used the adapter from XPAL yet. The kit did not include the micro usb adapter so I had to call them to order it. Maybe the adapter has the data connectors shorted...

I'll post and update once I receive the adapter from the manufacturer.
