It could. As we have more settings in gconf than is visible in the UI (obviously). A good example are logging settings :-)

That is, I would like to choose from which folder to get the calendar, contacts, notes, and tasks. Outlook allows to have multiple of those.

This is not something which can be changed in mfefolders.
