That's the thing, it "wasn't ok" previously...i.e. the aspect ratio was incorrect before, even if the screen was "filled". Current state is in proper format. Again, you're sending a 4:3 ratio signal to a 16:9 "LCD TV", its going to be "strectched" unless you change the "LCD TV's" properties, if possible.

My car's in-dash NAV has 'TV-In' connection, with "Normal" and "Wide" modes. The resolution is 800x480, but the two different modes makes the image look different, even though its a 1:1 pixel match with the 900's resolution.

It would be a different story if you were connecting to your "LCD TV" with component or HDMI connections, as they can handle the "above SD" resolutions.

FWIW, monitor = display given that its recreating the 900's image via composite cable.
