oh well, back to using Super...
I have two big issues with Super:
a) I cannot find a way to tell it to compress a file to a certain filesize (playing with bitrates is a hit-and-miss affair, insofar that it's always a miss) and
b) as of yet, I've still to find a way to to tell it to reduce a file to a given pixel size; there are lots of preprogrammed video sizes, but none of them suits the N800. I
hate
distortions.
Other than that, it's okay, but because of those problems, I've "converted" (Ahh! the puns! the puns!! They never stop!!!) to VirtualDub, which at least produces files of the size and resolution (more or less) I tell it to and that will play in Mplayer (not the built in media player though...). Also, VirtualDub is a gem for converting DVDs I recorded with my PVR: yanking out the commercials is really easy. Suck on
that
, Disney.
