I am a huge fan of internet radio. Some of my favorites are 1.fm, soma.fm, and 181.fm (soma.fm = VERY COOL, impress the ladies with your exquisite taste!).
But, some sites of origin don't provide streams that work well with N900 - they insist on proprietary browser players, for example.
A workaround is to use the metalist on shoutcast.com (also a great place to search for internet radio). What I do is put the site name, like "1.fm", in the search box - you get many (but not all, strangely enough) of the streams from the site in the search results.
Then, just click on the "listen now" button (the first time you do this, Shoutcast will give you the option of listening in its own web-based player - just select the other option, I think it says Winamp or something esle - when you do, the station will open in your N900 media player).
Then be sure to book mark the station in N900's media player, and you won't have to repeat the process the next time.
Internet readio rules, I kill my battery listening to it through my N900 speakers as I walk around the house! Looks like I've got to dig out the old FM stereo receiver just for the N900, that's pretty funny.
