Guys, look what I found on Nokia`s discussion forum:

Well that depends what you mean by the "NEW" ovi maps.... The "free" stufff is the old Ovi maps. Navteq the actual map maker has a new collection of maps that will most likely be the "premium" map software.

So for Nokia the question is why just retire ovi maps 3 when it can give it away for free and make a huge impact.
NOW FOR ALL THE N900 MOANERS out there...have you looked at OVI Maps 1.0 after the '51' update? Have you plotted a route? We do it and goto "directions" what do you see...TURN by TURN Navigation.
OVI maps on N900 is 97% done, all that needs to happen is a speech synthesiser integrated that can read those directions. Trust me we will see ovi maps with functional turn by turn navigation on the N900 very soon. "
So, maybe someone has internal information.......
Or I am wrong.....
