I'm glad I took the time to read this thread. I have been plagued with the "bluish upper-right corner haze" as well, on all my flash photos. It's quite disgusting, if you ask me - I feel like I'm using my old instamatic from the late 1970's with the square, rotating, dsposable flashbulbs.

I'm shocked to learn that the chrome bezel is the culprit - who would put shiny chrome around a flash, to reflect and diperse light in every direction, including back into the lens?!?! What genius was responsible for this design flaw, I wonder.

I really do like my N900 but this is inexcusable. I am in favor of the proposal mentioned in this thread - a total back-cover replacement from Nokia for all interested parties, at no cost to owners of the N900. (Someone make a poll, I have no idea how to do that but I would be interested to see the results).

And they can upgrade that ridiculous, flimsy plastic kickstand while they're at it! I'm just counting the days until that impossibly fragile piece of plastic snaps off. Come on, Nokia, do the hardware justice, for crying out loud!
