You might want to review bug #999 and if it describes your situation, submit a comment along with any additional diagnostic information you may be able to provide.

For the record I don't think your situation is common although since the reboot loop was quite common with the original firmware it's entirely likely a handful of corner cases still exist in the latest firmware, and you're just incredibly unlucky or you have unintentionally discovered a means to reproduce the problem!
