Does it? Videos use the DSP, and (at least on N8x0) DSP max clock wasn't available with CPU at max clock. I don't know about the N900, though.

The overclocking warning came from Nokia at some point (I think it was on the Maemo Summit 2009). The OS does not lock the CPU to 600 MHz and you shouldn't either.
