If Google ported it properly it would be. 'Better' is ambiguous but I think for all but the Linux hardcore, Android is a better user experience at the moment.

SE are manging quite well (X10 anyone?). At the moment they're mainly WinMO based. The OS runs, it's just a matter of drivers and optimisation. These big companies have the capacity to do this with ease.

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
