@leetut - It doesn't sound like the problem is with your PC, the password or the IP address. It sounds like a problem with the server on your device.

You need to uninstall it from the device and reboot. Reinstall it (by the way, it's usually best to only enable the testing and dev repositories only when you need to) and make sure that the server is running - from Big Phat Jan's advice: "you can test with "ps -A | grep sshd" in a terminal. You should see an sshd process owned by root."

Then set up a logged session in WinSCP and post the contents of the log here.
