Stopping the nonexistent shortcutd got rid of ohmd, but mce is still quite active. Wakeups are down to 4000, which is still not good.
Look into files /var/lib/dpkg/info/shortcut* - it may list some shell macro files under /etc directory. You may try to move that files to /home/user and see that happens next. Especially files under /etc/event.d, /etc/init.d/ and so on.
