I do believe people should research a device before spending $600 damn dollars on it. If you have $600 to just spend on any new toy that hits the market then I'm sorry.. you get what you get and can complain till you're blue in the face.. won't matter. Obviously you're just Mr/Ms Rich and it really doesn't matter that the N900 is up to "your" standards.. you can just go buy something else.
For everyone else.. before dropping $600 on something it's most certainly a good idea to find out if it'll at least do what you *need* it to.
But.. I have no seen anywhere that Nokia has given the impression that the N900 is not supposed to be a "complete" device, or that it's just a test-bed platform.
