Hi All,

this is my first time posting on this forum and I'd like to find out what actual download/upload speeds people are getting from there n900 on different carriers. Basically I really really want to go out and purchase a n900 (like yesterday). My current carrier is AT&T and I've read that there 3g data service is not offered on the frequency that the n900 uses. I've also read that T-Mobile does support 3g data service for the n900 which I would gladly move to if my wife didn't just get an iphone with a 2 year contract So I thought it would be helpful to me and past/present/future n900 users to get a good idea of what actual download/upload speed would be on different carriers. I spoke to someone at AT&T and they said the difference between 3g and 2g is like comparing broadband to dailup, this analogy sounds fishy to me and that's why I decided to post. I used speakeasy to test bandwidth and I believe the results will have more validity if all use the same site, but that's completely up to you.

I don't have an n900 (yet) so I'm posting with my wifes Iphone 3gs on AT&T New York City USA (site http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/)
Download - AVG 1175 kbits/s , MAX 1549 kbits/s
upload - AVG 238 kbits/s , MAX 238 kbits/s
Time of day - 10:00 am est

Thanks
