Hooray, it works. Thank you.
You must understand that for me a portable computing device is a tool for my work. I am not an enthusiast so at times instructions need to be quite precise. The Opera browser as supplied on this device was a huge negative as it would not access most on-line applications. What I went through (including getting set up on this forum) is much further than I would normally go through.
I had to fumble around a bit with the N800 Applications Manager as the instructions on the site you gave did not correspond exactly to the N800 (perhaps for a previous Nokia tablet). I finally was able to add the link to the catalog.
Once I had it in the catalog it became obvious that the latest version (13) was loaded.
I was able to access my corporate email over Microsoft OWA without issue and it works great. This has taken the N800 out of the "toy" category for me and I can now really ditch my laptop as the N800 is now a viable tool.
If Nokia would address this issue themselves sales would rocket as it would then become a truly business useful device.
One last question, as new distributions come out I am assuming the best procedure would be to uninstall the previous version before updating. Is this correct?
Thank you again.
