Why should it be ridiculuous. It may not change much but has the power to show the creators of Shazam that there's quite a market for the N900, and maybe they decide that supporting the N900 can benefit them.

Shazam is not something you can expect from the community. Even if there were people in this community with the necessary knowledge about the noise pattern matching algorithms, we would still lack the database of patterns.
