I guess you can say it's been "seen in the wild" now, for the kernel/initfs officially. Check out the screen shots here for the OLPC build for Minimo 0.2. There's a n800 in the picture at the boot screen; note the initfs and kernel version:
RX-44 and 2.6.21-omap1
. The firmware version itself is still RX-34, but obviously there is progress being made in the kernel/initfs arena. Currently we're at 2.6.18-omap1 kernel and RX-34 initfs for the public release. I hope Antonio doesn't take the image down, but I've saved it in case anyone doubts. It's exciting evidence I suppose, but I don't think anybody doubted we'd have the firmware eventually. More the excitement of saying "Hey!, He's got some piece of something we're all anticipating." Yeah, I know I'm pathetic
