I'm borrowing this thread. In xterm when i write something like cd MyDoocs and try to change it to cd MyDocs it doesn't work to change the word. In other words, If I make a spelling error I can't rectify it without pressing enter and start over from the beginning.

The other thing I've noticed is when you are root. When.I'm root I can't use the cd command . Any idea why this is the way it is?
