It's a tool and not a fragile kid. If it breaks, I know a place where they have so many N900, they sell them.

I drop mine constantly, but I am careful not to have other stuff in the pocket, since that screen does get scratches. Other than that, it seems really sturdy. I had a N900 shaped bruise on my leg after a recent Machine Head concert. The phone was fine though.
