I didn't say _I_ think its a consumer device. I said Nokia wants this to be a consumer device. A cross-over device like the iPhone will eliminate Nokia's target market. If your iPhone is sitting on the coffee table in front of you, and it can visit the same sites just as well, then you wouldn't think of purchasing an N800. You have to assume the iPhone is just the beginning. If it reaches critical mass and we're all walking around with browsers in our pocket for $299, who is going to want an N800? Someone will just write web applications to provide the geek stuff like ssh, vnc, etc...
