Yes, I have used my N800 with VNC. It was not difficult to set up.
The biggest challenge came from my internet service provider continually changing my IP address. You must type the correct IP address into the unit running VNC Viewer to 'find' your desktop computer that you wish to view. Since I didn't pay Verizon to have a static IP address, it changed every few days. I have friends whose IP addresses change much less than mine has, so these may not be typical results.
One workaround for this problem included using Orb (an internet streaming application for the internet tablets), as logging onto Orb from your internet tablet allows you to see the current IP address of the machine that you are accessing. I would simply access Orb from my N800 via their web access portal, and find the page that had my IP address posted. I would then use that information to log in via VNC Viewer. For all I know, this was the long way around the problem, but it worked. I sincerely hope this helps in some way, and if it makes you feel better, I own an N800 and also bought two 770s on Woot! yesterday. It was such a good deal, I had to pick up a 770 for my travel bag and one for my brother in the UK.
Cheers!
