well, its sort of fixed...... and I feel quite embarrassed! Actually - change that to very embarrassed

while out and about today I thought I would try and send, and it worked....

then I noticed a different symbol by the battery status, clicked on it and it said contract WAP

so when I got home I tried again, emails wont send unless I disconnect wifi and set it to WAP

thats fine..... at least I have a solution and can send

BUT my next question is how to get it to send when connected to wi fi

I'm with Be Broadband, does that mean I need their smtp settings ?

Or should I just quit while I'm ahead and leave it as is?

thanks so much for everyones responses, and maybe I can help others in future by asking if they have a wap symbol by the battery notification......
