i found that the correct dbus call is:

dbus-send --session --type=method_call --dest=com.nokia.modest /com/nokia/modest com.nokia.modest.SendReceive

but doesn't work, as written in the bug filed here:
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7834

anyone can help me?
