Nokia has confirmed both Maego6 and Meego for the n900. As a community release.

Note: Nokia has stated Maego6 is Meego - same thing. Naming from Nokia to be decided.

Nokia also has confirmed current policy is there will be no Nokia supported version.

Leaving the door open on a change of policy suggests there are some in Nokia pushing for such a change, however unlike the earlier statements which are clear, reading anything into the possibility of a change is guesswork.
