I was wanting just a media/game machine at first which brought me to GP2X which is a great machine that runs on linux also. Then after some thought, I said this thing would really be cool if it had some input device. Then I found that the Nokia 770 is exactly that and it has 802.11b/g. So I got to reading about the 770 and I knew it has the potential to be something great...especially for someone with some knowlege of computers. So I went to nokiausa.com to order one but it was out of stock...bummer. I did a search and found it on compUSA which was for 379.99, 20 dollars more than nokia. Well somehow I got compUSA to price match the nokia website so I got it for 359.99...woohoo!!!
I'm very happy with it so far. And once all the bugs are worked out this thing will even be better. There are a few things that I thought it was missing and minor problems that I have.
1. clock should have alarm function. (and pick houston as home city...after all it's the 4th largest city
2. no calendar, better scientific calc. (someone get hp49g+ emu working would be awesome)
3. does this thing have a microphone (what's that little hole beside the power port)
4. a way to kill apps that are hung
5. I can connect to my nokia 6650 phone and see the mmc in my file manager...but I can't see the files on it.
6. Ways to access files on my computer from device not the other way around.
7. email crashes
8. Does anyone got a keyboard working and if you do..which one do you have and how did you set it up.
9. When I'm installing apps, where does it put the apps. Can I pick a location on the memory card as oppose to the system's memory?
10. The thumb pad should be to the inside a little bit because the case is in the way of the thumb.
