I don't think there is, it wouldn't be that hard to do with the telepathy APIs.

But why ??

Surely you should use a proper email->sms gateway (or just connect an old phone to some linux box at your home and write a few scripts there [like I have done at home]), doing this on the phone you use daily, while possible, does not sound like a good idea.
