for completeness sake, i should point out that $1.99 is the regular price for the app in itunes store, with FIVE level packs. And if i'm not mistaken, the app only showed for at $1.99 for 1 week out of the 2+ months it's been in the market and it's now back on sale.

That brings another important point of AppStore practice: variable pricing. It is very common for AppStore vendors to have 2 or even 3 common price points that they use depending on the market conditions and internal targets and switch quickly between them on weekly basis.

So don't take the $2.99 price as a constant value.
