Help!

I tried sending a contact from my N900 to another phone on AT&T and I got an error SMS text message back saying it had an invalid symbol in the message and couldn't be delivered, and I kept getting another message returned every few seconds.

I finally turned the phone off and went to T-mo website and found 33 outgoing messages charges on T-mobile site for 20 cents a piece (I have no SMS bundle) so the damages so far are $6.60.

So somehow the system @ T-mo is rejecting the SMS and my N900 retries over and over.

I'm comfortable with Linux shell so my question is, where is the outgoing queue for messages held and how best can I kill that message so it stops attempting to resend?

Thx
