Right now, I don't care about OS. Maemo 5 is fine by me. By the time Meego is proven to be excellent as a Phone OS some time next year, I'll probably think about upgrading from my N900 anyways to a much more powerful hardware device. If not, N900 is already good enough isn't it? Isn't that why you bought it?
I just want more apps. Better apps and some improvements such as:
- Turn by Turn navigation.
- Better music player. (eq, folder navigation, file name support etc)
- More commercial games. (if not, I'm happy with DrNokSnes already)
- Flash 10.1 for faster higher quality flash playback.
- Vertical orientation support for most part of the OS. (phone, sms, HAM, launcher, task switcher etc)
N900 is apparently going to be launched here in Australia in April. It is said to be publicly announced
NokiaDevCon
which is in a few days. I highly doubt they are going to just release a phone which they already have plans to drop supprt within the next few months. =P
PR 1.2 is around the corner. I hope it is good enough to bring a lot of good morale back into this community.
