It seems to be one BIG Desktop. (on the Presentation I saw) - you can move them freely and you have even more space than on the actually 4 desktops on the N900.

So you don't need more than the one big Desktop.

Oh, I have a nice Idea. How about the possibility to zoom freely to see more of the Desktop or less.
