While I'd love to have Ubuntu One -like synchronization for Maemo, one issue is that UO is based on CouchDB which might not be something you want to run on a constrained mobile device (we did a port of CouchDB to Maemo a few years back and it was very slow).

Some parts of UO provide additional, non-CouchDB synchronization methods including the Tomboy API which Conboy will probably support soon.

One option for achieving Ubuntu One compatibility would be to utilize Midgard as the content repository on Maemo and then use Midgard's support for CouchDB replication protocol to sync with UO.
