Contrary to your further protestations, I'd call you a developer. Don't worry, there are help groups available ;-)

Also, not necessarily the next firmware (in fact, almost definitely *not* the next firmware, for the reasons I outlined), but some future Maemo release. It is sensible to assume, for the moment anyway, that any Maemo release will show up on a Nokia device at some point. At this point, we've no guarantee that'll be the N800.

I say demonstration videos of this in Sardine on the net, and I couldn't wait to be able to do that for my own tablet. (without having to install all kinds of unstable beta code form Sardine).
Ditto. And end-users should be excited when all these cool new developer toys allow cool new end-user toys to arise. For example, a calculator on the home screen would be quite cool. Or a countdown timer (for the CTU agent in you...).
