I received a message from a director of PDA Hut this morning, apologising for the delay with the Brodit active N900 holder in the UK:

...it seems Brodit in Sweden have yet to release first stocks of Active Holders for the Nokia N900 series. These were due to to be in the UK earlier this week...
I'd still be interested to hear of any other sightings of the Brodit active holder in the UK ... otherwise I'll wait for PDA Hut to get their stock.
