I am very new to this geocaching but i have to say this a very good begginings of an app here.
i have used this app and the one for the geocaching website on the iphone. my experiances were as follows.

in your app:
things did sort of work but the updates were not frequent enough and the compas seemed to point the wrong direction occasionaly. also the compass doesnt work until i open the maemo map and then go back to the goto.

altho i like the way you can add a list of .loc files to a directory then add the directory. and if you need more information from the website the is a nice button to take you straight to that caches page.

the fact i didnt have to look for caches close to me it automaticaly qurryed the website for them.



i was wondering is there any chance in you being able to query the offical geocaching website and return the closest boxes to you at that given time.

i had a look to see if there was an open api for this but it turns out they will only give access to trusted partners. could you become a trusted partner as the representative of the maemo geocaching comunity.
