What is all this Global firmware stuff? I have an N900 on a Nokia Vodafone contract and have absolutely no issues whatsoever regarding Skype of and IM programme.

I thought the issue with N900 bought direct from Vodafone is that Vf had added thire own version of firmware (including Vf360) that inhibited VOIP.

It is not, as far as I am aware a UK firmware issue, and the recent update workd just fine. Trouble is that mine is now at the menders
