Hmm. I've poked around more and found

It looks like this is where to send old Nokia-branded stuff, including batteries, to get recycled.

It's postage-paid, so it's free to you, and there's no excuse for not living with a clear conscience about dumping bad things (here, Li-poly batteries) into the landfill.
Of course, if you have an n900, n810, n800 or n770 and it still works, you could recycle it by sending it to me.
