By default, any camera can record in night-vision: The ccd is based on silicon and works fine with wavelength up to 1100nm. But you have to remove the IR filter, and supply enough illumination in the IR region. (and maybe you need to filter out uv-vis!). For sure you can find some nice hack tutorial for digital cameras, and you can buy cheap IR leds, but I don't know if I would open my phone... anyway, awesome idea...
