Well, if I'm using a testing site, which gives different speeds, for different file sizes, one of which is faster han the provider has provisioned, I wouldn't rely on it...not just my experience, not just on the 900, and not just T-Mobile.

However, if the mobilespeedtest site is working for you, good luck with that. I'm just a "user" of the site, not an admin, so my "experience" is what dictates my decision regarding continued use.
