You've got perfectly good technological neutrality here, if RAI's streams don't work with Moonlight, that's an artificial restriction being imposed by the TV station, and is not microsoft's or Silverlight's problem.
Maybe it's because Moonlight doesn't support DRM. So, netflix or anything else that requires DRM, won't work on linux.
