This is actually not an Emacs problem, but an X problem on the N900. I tested by compiling urxvt and the keys are not sticky in it as well. Don't know what makes them sticky, but basically they are not sticky in plain X apps.

When I write on my Bluetooth Keyboard, the layout is not fully supported. An example is the Alt key. It works in other programs (such as the terminal and vim) but not in emacs.
I'm not sure of this. If you say it works in other apps, it should in Emacs. What does xev report for when you hit Alt, does it say it's Alt or Meta?
