People are entitled to their opinions of course, but I think the point of fedora is being missed.

Fedora is a base, and I wouldn't recommend fedora to use natively on any consumer operating system - it's simply not designed for that.

If you are realistic, from a luser perspective, there isn't a whole lot of difference between all the linux based distributions or even between UNIX and Linux, which is why they are generally called "flavours" - they all taste slightly different, but it is essentially the same dish.

I love fedora, and it fits well for my usage - but my desktop looks identical to a friend who runs ubuntu - we use the same apps. I'm happier with fedora - he is happier with ubuntu.

Would anyone recommend debian for a general user? they shouldn't. This is one of the many things ubuntu is good at.

Debian based Ubuntu = Nogo! ??????
