I hated having a desktop pc. Then bought a laptop instead. Could not be bothered hauling it through to the living room and carrying the cables and connecting it to a wall socket. Got the n900 and I can access stuff anywhere I want to and always portable.

It's taken over from my laptop as a general purppose computing device.
