I have a lithuanian friend whose name ends with an ė..
I have the name in my phone as correct (with the dotted e) but I have no idea how I got it to be in there..

I also note that the ˚ (ring above) works differently on on-screen vs hardware keyboard. On the hardware keyboard, it stays lit and waits for another keypress. On the soft keyboard, it inserts a ring immediately
