Thx for the info. Although this is very bad news... my declaration was based on some forums where ppl said they installed Skype Mobile succesfully at HD2.

Never used Fring, but I expect it not to have the same Skype features, correct?

HD2 has bigger screen, but the same resolution as N900, 800x480.
Yes you're right again, "egoshin" corrected me before. I think I am reading too many reviews...

... Internet Explorer Mobile supports Flash, but offers an overall poorer browsing experience. So I think you will have to use both in daily life, choosing on a website-by-website basis.
Well based on the experience the member "animistry" told us above (Y!Finance flash charts), looks like GSMArena.com is correct about the "dodgy flash experience" using HD2+IE...

...and the Maemo OS which makes it very similar to a Linux PC capability-wise.
Yes but based on these forum's posts it looks like a Linux PC capability-wise phone/tablet will require a Linux PC capable user, but I am not in a mood to work again throughout command lines, terminals and cryptic programming... did it a lot in early 90's, but I am not confortable to do that nowadays all over again, mainly over a phone.

BTW: is that true that N900 email client is unable to show the message headers only, but instead one must download the entire email itself? If so, there is another (very) negative aspect for N900 IMHO.
(yes I know you could use the browser but I would expect a litlle flexibility for a so called tablet/phone at this price range).
