It's not just a registration we're talking about, but IMO more about embracing people who DO want to get involved in multple ways. Your forum registration is a forum registration regardless if it's SSO in the background, no change there. The question is what does anyone gain by not having a unique identity with regard to the many faces and aspects of the community ? I'm all too familiar with this problem, having two (three if you count the mailing lists) 'identities' because someone already took my aliases in other maemo.org subsystems. That's not diversity - it's chaos.
