I've switched off that option & will see what happens.

Also I cannot access the options anymore so I can't really play around with it to see what difference the option makes

After you open the Conversations app, you select Accounts, select your twitter account & then select Advanced Settings.

Anyway I also sometimes get the old tweets again - somehow it seems to happen whenever the phone temporarily loses connection and gets back online. So it might be a feature or it might be a bug?!

I figure it's because I have Autodisconnect installed, so it's effectively logging back in every time. That's just a theory.
