Thanks. I will certainly try this in the next few days, but for now I have also installed tightvncserver on my target Debian box, and with that as the server your VNC viewer is working beautifully.

It really is amazing; I wouldn't have thought it practical to use VNC viewer on so small a device as the 770, but the 770's screen is so good that it really is practical and effective. Many thanks Aaron for your work on this port.

And finally a question: does anyone know how I can type control characters? (For Emacs.)
