Do you mean the "automatic search" that is enabled by tweaking an undocumented parameter in a config file by hand? I doubt they're going to care too much.

I assume they disabled some of those options because they didn't work or had bugs. For instance, the volume settings don't work either.

(FWIW I get the application freeze too with "automatic search", but I was able to kill the process)
